Dear Parents and Guardians,
CHS conducted a joint lockout and lockdown drill with Mt. Eccles Elementary School on Tuesday, October 20, at 9:30 a.m. Students practiced the safety procedures they learned in September: “lockout” for unsafe conditions outside the school and “lockdown” for unsafe conditions inside the school.
During the drill, CHS doors were locked, and staff participated alongside students. Normal operations resumed at 10:00 a.m.

Lockout/Lockdown Drill at CHS and MES CHS and MES will participate in a joint lockout and lockdown drill on Tuesday, October 20th. CHS student learned how to respond to unsafe conditions inside and outside of the school in mid September. Students learned to "Lockout" if there are unsafe conditions outside of the school, and to "Lockdown" if there are unsafe conditions inside of the school. Students will practice what they learned during the drill. The drill will take place at 9:30 am and last about 30 minutes. Please be aware that during the drill, all doors at CHS will be locked, and phones will not be answered as staff will be participating in the lockdown and lockout drill. Normal operations will resume at 10:00 am on October 20th. Please call the CHS office if you have questions.
